About the Item

Set of Two Red dessert plates from the George Sand Collection. This dessert plate is adorned with a raised pattern of strawberries, strawberry leaves, and small white flowers, carefully arranged around its edge. Its bright, glossy red center creates a harmonious contrast with the natural elements surrounding it. The wavy rim, resembling a wooden branch, adds an artisanal touch. Perfect for showcasing your desserts, this plate’s rustic yet elegant design fits beautifully into festive and sophisticated settings. This unique set of two earthenware dessert plates is part of the George Sand collection, named after the iconic set created by the French manufactory Creil & Montereau for the renowned author George Sand. Inspired by the romantic countryside she cherished, the collection originally featured strawberries and ribbons. With their poetic aesthetic, these plates pay homage to her love for nature. The delicate barbotine grapevine decorations in relief add a refined and artistic element, echoing the spirit of the romantic French author who lived in Nohant-Vic. While these plates are microwave-safe, they are recommended for hand washing only. Available in several colors, the plates can be mixed and matched for a personalized table setting, with other pieces from the same collection sold separately.
