Italian Shell Soup Tureens with 4 bowl in White Glazed Ceramic in Rococo style

About the Item

We offer you a consomme set for sale, but who forbids you to use it for a gaspacho? or to separate the tureen and make it a table centerpiece? The shell-shaped bowls can be adapted to a thousand different uses, as a soap dish or as a starter, while the tureen with plate is a stunning decorative element for your home that seems to have come out of a surrealist painting by Pierre Roy. This soup set was made in Italy, as attested by the signature on the base of the tureen, probably between the 60s and 70s and is composed of 4 oyster-shaped bowls with feet and a large tureen whose structure is not simply decorated with shells, but completely built from shells like a rich 18th century triumph in Rococo style. The decorative motif of the shell is also present in the polylobed and jagged frame of the tureen's support plate. set measurements: soup width 40cm depth 24cm height 21cm dish width 45cm depth 34.5cm height 2.5cm small bowl width 17.5cm depth 16cm height 6.5cm This mid 20th century set is in good vintage condition, there is minimal wear to the tray visible in photos and videos.
