Sioux Beaded Moccasins

About
Sioux moccasins with buffalo hoof design, faceted beads in center stripe, soft soles. 11" smoke tanned buckskin; trunk piece, never used. Never been walked on. These moccasins were a trunk piece collected by an archeologist. We acquired from his son. They are brain/smoke tanned and sinew sewn. Definitely Sioux. First quarter 20th Century however that is difficult to confirm so we noted first half 20th Century. The beads are 19th Century.
