The painting is made with natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark and affixed to a Hessian board backing for display. It was created in Oenpelli, Western Arnhem Land, in 1977. Provenance: This piece is from the Kelton Foundation Collection (Richard Kelton Collection located in Santa Monica, California) of important Australian Indigenous Works of Art and was acquired in 1982. Exhibited: 'Abstract Reality: Australian Dreamtime Art', Modern Museum of Art, Santa Ana, CA, 17 January – 16 April 1989.
