American Antique Outsider Art Hand Carved Folk Art Birds House

This is a beautiful 12 inch high handmade, hand-carved old wooden Folk Art birds house handmade in great detail with two pairs of carved and painted birds sitting atop the bird house . It is a remarkable example of outsider art by here to unknown artist, A O Morgan from West Virginia. It was hand finished using a decades old early American Folk Art form called wood burning "pyrography" Signed: it is pencil signed on bottom: made by A O Morgan RFD 1 Box 36a, Ronciverte, W. Va . Dimensions: 12 inches square x 4 inches in depth. Handmade, hand-carved, and hand burned using pyrographic techniques Provenance: 40 Year old Pyrography collection of Douglas Schneible, Charlotte, Vermont History of the Pyrography: py·rog·ra·phy pi'rägrfe noun is the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point.
