Antique Folk Art Carved Single Piece Tree Trunk Low Chair
About the Item
Sculptural and historic wood carving dated 1921. An Organic Form Hand-Crafted Seat in all original very good condition, as much a piece of Sculpture as Furniture. Labeled, “Robbert 1921”. Natural carved tree trunk with short stubby legs and curved seat. The entire piece with a fine polished age patina. Good weight and very solid feeling.
Size: H. 17 1/2", W. 22 1/2", Depth 26", seat H. in front 10"
Condition: There are some natural stable age cracks and natural holes and fissures, expected wear to the seat, white spots on the back and general expected and acceptable signs of age with the carving presenting in a particularly elemental and authentic manner.
