About the Item

This image features a pair of carved wooden bookends designed in the shape of parrots or pigeons. Each bookend showcases a birdin a resting pose with its wings folded and head slightly bowed, facing inward toward the books or wall they would support. The detailing on the wings and body includes carved feathers and textural dots, emphasizing craftsmanship. The parrots are affixed to solid wooden bases and vertical backings, forming a right angle to support books on a shelf. The wood has a deep, rich brown tone with a smooth finish, lending a warm and classic appearance. These carved pieces would make a charming and functional decorative accent. Originally found in our founder's home after her passing, we believe she purchased them on a buying trip in England. This is unconfirmed.
