About the Item

Pair of carved Japanese carved 3D dumb waiters or card butler greeters. A very unusual pair of 1920s dumb waiters, a Geisha and a Samurai, these 2 card butlers are hand carved, they are 3D so look superb from all sides, the stands are signed D.R.Vienne, Each of the figures have fine detail carving, patterns on the clothes, hands, hair, there are dragons carved on the trays. The waiters are sound, there are some old repairs but these have been sympathetically done. A superb addition to a hotel reception. The Figures are 37” tall and Stand on 10” square bases AV151.
