About

Ted Ludwiczak (1927-2016) became a stone carver late in life creating a Folk Art environment in New York. He saw a spirit in every stone he carved and felt compelled to carve it so others could see. This is an unusual block of stone that someone must have given him as I don't recognize the mineral. There are markings on several sides of it that he chose not to carve or change. The stone sculpture works equally well indoors or out in a garden setting.
