TELLURIC III unique sculpture by Awaré
Dimensions: L 40 x H 60 cm
Materials: Cypress, silk, oxidation
Awaré is the meeting of the sculptor Jérôme Pereira and the artist Sylvia Eustache Rools.
The work of Jérôme Pereira questions the balance and the harmony. His sculpture relate this state of grace between tension and fall. Sylvia Eustache Rools is graduated in textile arts. Her work reveals a taste pronounced for the composition, the hangdling of textures and colors.
The desire to mix their universes and materials was imperative. For him, the wood sculptured, worked in games of masses and balance. For her, colors and textures, in an approach which became a « textile geology » .
By their creations, they try to go beyond the complementarity. In this zone where takes place the merger. In the manner of the geologic strata which meet to form a single element.
AWARÉ is the melting pot which allows us to translate specifically our interest for the ground material, the rock and their alchemy.
A creation of AWARÉ requires techniques and know-how gathered to end in a formal obvious fact. The organic and ground matter of the one, encourages the chromatic deployment of the other one.
To achieve that, several stages:
- Wood carving.
- Silk painting.
- Shaping and weld of the wire.
- Assembly by manual sewing.
Why Awaré?
In Japan, Mono No Aware, means literally, "the beauty of the moving intimacy of things, a form of empathy bound to the feeling of their impermanence."
TO BE AWARE, it is to be on the alert, informed, attentive, awake. Stakeholder within the alive.
States which we look for throught our artistic practices.
Jérôme Pereira work questions balance, inspired by nature forces. His sculptures relate the state of grace between tension and fall.
Jérôme Pereira creates lighting sculptures with a rough and gracious presence. Coming from a scientific background, his sculptures, as equations, propose a familiar vocabulary (bows, pulleys, rings, cubes, counterweights) opening to an unknown factor. A catalog of shapes with a surrealist consonance leading to a playful combination of tension and equilibrium.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.

Brown Dark Vase by Eguzkiñe Egaña
Unique Piece.
Dimensions: W 14 x D 14 x H 20 cm.
Materials: Terracotta, slip and enamel.
Eguzkiñe Egaña Corta studied advertising and for more than 20 years has worked as a graphic designer. About 12 years ago, surrounded by a completely digital world, she felt the need to create with her hands and it is from there that she took up her drawings and illustrations and began to create with ceramics. She has completed a Master’s degree at the University of the Basque Country: “Ceramics; art and function” and combines her work as a designer and illustrator with contemporary artistic creation. She also teaches ceramics classes at the municipal school of Zarautz, a city in the Basque Country where she lives. She feels the need to explore the relationship between identity and self-knowledge. Work with the concepts; interior, exterior, return, connect, ancestral and artisanal, establishing a relationship between us and our environment, as well as between us and our ancestors, either emotionally, empathetically or through objects that somehow transport us to a hypothetical place in the past, both for its aesthetics and for the ways in which they have been created. Human beings are containers of desires, fears, expectations. Sometimes it is necessary to empty ourselves of everything that clutters the mind. On many occasions the artist works with turned containers...
