About the Item

This is an original circa 1930s Flying A Service steel enameled sign, an exceptional example of vintage automobilia and classic Americana. Retaining its beautiful, period-correct patina, the sign displays only minimal enamel loss and light oxidation along the edges, with surface soiling and occasional scuffs that are consistent with its age and authentic character. Flying A Service was a prominent gas brand operated by the Tidewater Oil Company, known for its bold graphics and strong presence across the American landscape, especially on the West Coast. Signs like this have become iconic relics of a bygone era in American roadside culture. This well-preserved example captures the charm and nostalgia of early 20th-century service stations and motoring history. This sign is double sided.
