Folk Art Wood Horse Pull Toy
About the Item
Fantastic hand crafted carved wood horse pull toy. Possibly made from scraps of wood during the Depression Era resembling a Trojan Horse of sorts. Carved pine. There are few nails used in the construction where the tail and the wheels are applied to the underside. The horse's legs are dowels that fit snuggly into the base. A real beauty of home made toy making of a by gone age.
Good overall condition with some old repairs to the horse's ears. Dark patina and oxidation to the wood surface. Structurally sound and sturdy. Some cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. Minor chips, scuffs, and scratches. String not included.
