Old carved miniature wood mask with traces of red and green pigment, from the Baule people of Ivory Coast, Africa. Representing a bushcow, and dating from the early 20th century. Mask measures 7 x 3 x 1 3/4 inches. On custom stand as shown 9 inches high. Some chips, erosion and areas of wear from native use. A monumental miniature.
