About the Item
Worn and weathered Tsogho short bench carved from a single piece of wood, with faces and figures, from Gabon, Africa. Blocky bench with roughly carved out openings, flanked on one side by two oval faces and triangles, on the other stylized figures with traces of white, black and red pigments.
It is in good condition, appropriate for its age, use, and medium. Well used with deep worn patina, chips, scuffs and nicks here and there. Eroded base. Very rare object.
Mid 20th century or older.
