19th Century French Napoleon III Carved Polychrome Painted Six-Light Chandelier

About the Item

Decorate a dining room or a den with this elegant antique wooden chandelier. Crafted in France circa 1880, the light fixture is round in shape and features six arms of equal lengths around the thick intricately carved central stem; each curled arm is decorated with acanthus leaf decor and has been rewired to US standard; each light is further dressed with decorative candle sleeve cover. The intricate stem is embellished with floral motifs and features a large decorative cone shaped finial at the base. The chandelier is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns the original rich paginated two-tone polychrome painted finish in the light green and beige palette with gilt accents. Measures: 24" diameter 24" height.
