First of all, it has the best design and size alabaster shade. A shade of this timeless design and size can be used virtually eveywhere. It would look amazing in your kitchen, above your dining table, in your large entrance or on your master bedroom's ceiling. Secondly, you will hardly ever find an alabaster pendant light with such a perfect rope and tassel. Thirdly, on top the large and mint brass canopy is like the icing on the cake of this one of a kind antique. With a timeless design pendant of this size, beauty and mint condition, you simply cannot go wrong. Created in the earliest years of the 1900s with just a hint of classicism by ways of the, equally perfect, gilt bronze lion mask sculptures this antique chandelier is bound to light up both your days AND evenings. The large and deep alabaster bowl shade has the most amazing, polished surface and it is so structurally sound, it actually rings like a gong when you strike it. Both on and off this pendant is an absolute joy to look at and although we have said it many times before, we will say it again here, but in real life this special antique pendant too is even better looking than in our photos. When the light shines through it, the stunning black and the more translucent white veins and patches reveil a palette of patterns that only Mother Nature herself is capable of creating. This finest of alabaster fixtures is professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and you can use your regular American bulbs of up to 100 watts each. So with a dimmer switch attached you can always create the perfect atmosphere for every ocassion. Rewired: This unique chandelier is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will take three times 100 watts easily. For our photos we used three times 70 watts. Replacements made: The perfect (both condition and color-wise) 'rope-chain' and tassel are replacements, but they cannot be more than 20 years old, because they look like new. Wear consistent with age and use. It will be very hard to find an antique alabaster chandelier of this size and beauty that is in better condition than this striking specimen.
