Antique Vintage French Caged Teardrop Holophane Glass Ceiling Pendant Light Lamp

- A wonderful pair of rare caged brass Holophane pendants, France circa 1920.
- The pendants consist of a Holophane stamped glass shade and separate dish held together by a circular patinated brass ring.
- A decorative gallery with adjustable bulb holder sits across the upper section and with its original linked chain.
- Rewired in braided flex and PAT tested.
- Pair available, price is per pendant.
Holophane Originally founded in 1893 the hallmark of Holophane luminaires was the borosilicate glass reflector, which acted as a prism providing a combination of uplight and downlight, to illuminate any environment evenly without creating dark spots or glare. As a result Holophane lights were frequently used in churches, as street-lights and to illuminate older factories and industrial spaces.
