About the Item
This rare pendant light was in The Netherlands in the 1960s. The Art Deco style of this design was introduced and distributed through various small-scale manufacturers from the 1930s onwards, with the most well known name being Gispen.
The striking shade is in a downwards muli-tiered drop shape. The shade is made of a slightly glossy, white opaline glass which offers a pleasant light distribution when the light is switched on. The shade is attached to the fixture in glossy nickel with a natural patina. The central tube with a two-tier canopy and a two-tier pendant holder.
The lamp is in good original condition. If another height is preferred, the central stem can be shortened or replaced entirely, making a higher version possible.
