Art Deco Style Enameled Cameo Glass Pendant with Butterfly and Flowers Pattern

About the Item

Unique and stunning work of lighting art. If you are passionate about early 20th century decorative art then you will love this very rare (or possibly unique) art glass light fixture. What you are seeing here is an extremely rare, acid etched pendant, signed by 'Vianne'. With early 20th century lighting being one of our specialities, we can tell you that in our 25+ years of dealing in special fixtures, we have only seen fixtures by some of the great French makers that were made with the same techniques. This particular artist 'Vianne' must have been a contemporary, because this striking pendant is made with the same technique and it too is an absolute joy to own and look at. Both the design and the coloring make this unique light at least as impressive as the Galle, Daum and Schneider ones. This rare fixture is in superb condition and thanks to its great quality it will at least stay like this for another 100 years. One fine day, we feel, this unique pendant could grace the collection of a museum, but until then you could be its next custodian. Mind you, this stylish and elegant pendant is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well. Our fair price for this unique antique even includes perfect packing and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days. Maximum height x diameter: 24 x 15.6 inches. Height without chain and canopy: 5.5 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).

Pure Art Deco w. Stylish Geometrical Flower Glass Shade Pendant, Signed Hugue
By Hugue
Located in Lisse, NL
Another top quality, antique French pendant light with a perfect Art Deco design. This stunning and finer quality Art Deco ceiling lamp was realized by glass studio Léon Auguste Hugue (Paris, 1878 – Clichy-la-Garenne, 1970) who began his career as a bronze fitter. In 1907, he established his own bronze lighting manufacturing business at 14 rue Pierre Levée. In 1913, he created a new limited partnership, "L. Hugue, fabrique de bronzes et d’appareils d’éclairage," at number 10 in the same street. The business grew, and around 1925, he set up a factory at 68 rue des Rondeaux, where he worked with the help of his son Maurice Léon, also a bronze fitter. At the 1927 Exhibition in Madrid, he received the Gold Medal diploma alongside Francis Hubens. Strangely, in 1932, Léon Hugue...
