These vintage 4210 lamps are designed by Tapio Wirkkala and produced by Iittala. They are original old stock from the 1950s, with labels and in perfect condition.
The outer shades are available in three sizes and different colours: blue, lilac and smoke grey. Outer shades can be combined with various inner shades. In this chandelier 8 lamps are used. We have a large stock available of various models of Wirkkala lamps. All old stock and in perfect condition.
Stunning lamps; when switched off they are beautiful objects and when lit, the light gives a wonderful, warm glow that - because of the diffuser - is beautifully distributed.
Wirkkala designed these lamps as a modular series. The outer shades can also be combined with a smaller or longer or diabolo shaped diffuser. A perfect design and subtly eyecatching in any home.
Tapio Wirkkala was one of the most important and diverse Finnish designers. His contribution to design includes everything from glass products to the design of banknotes and graphic art.
"All materials have their own unwritten laws… You should never be violent with a material you're working on, and the designer should aim at being in harmony with his material".
