Early 20th Century 5 Arm Gesso Chandelier w/ 5 Original "Nuart" Glass Shades
About the Item
Very ornate and unusual gesso chandelier w/5 original period carnival shades by Nuart. The body has been cast in gesso and then pigmented in gold. The gold has darkened gracefully and evenly over the years. aNot the quality of the castings. The shade holders, the body and even the canopy, all original and in nice condition. Even the sockets have individual original off/on keys. The shades while unsigned are most certainly by Nuart, and these are about the nicest carnival shades made.
Newly cleaned and rewired, and right from a Big San Francisco home. We apologize for the dark photos. Pro camera man was away. We hope to add more photos if needed.
