A Fine Wrought Iron And Glass Four-Light Hanging Lamp
About the Item
The impressive design, inspired by Arabic influences, stems from the 19th century. Both in the past and now, pendant lights are considered as jewelry for a ceiling. Some pendant lights provide general lighting, while others emit more directed light. The picture demonstrates an antique retro pendant light which is ideal because unlike most designs, it projects the light outward and upward. The design exhibits a great deal of craftsmanship. The four-light hanging lamp is made of stained glass and wrought iron and contains volute leaves above faceted glass. Moreover it has an openwork grid which is finished with colored glass. The nose of the light (the underside) is decorated with a ring of leaves.
The imposing pendant light comes to an impressive height of 140 cm.
Although some wear of the iron, the lamp is in pristine condition.
