French 19th Century Renaissance St. Ormolu Five Arm Chandelier

About the Item

An elegant and high quality French 19th century Renaissance st. Ormolu five arm chandelier possibly by F. Barbedienne. The chandelier is centered by a most unique bottom finial with richly chased faces below beautiful interlocking palmettes designs. Each of the S scrolled arms display large acanthus leaves and charming grape cluster candle cups. At the center the is a striking and richly detailed stork perched on water flora, lovely scrolled movements and fine leaves. Leading up six chains is the foliate top crown with a fine inverted finial. *Shades shown for display purposes, sold separately.
