About the Item

French Art Deco Opalescent Glass Pendant Light Roses by Pierre Maynadier, circa the 1920s. A beautiful French Art Deco pendant light made of adorable opalescent glass with a floral design – intricately detailed roses, leaves, and rosebuds. The opalescent glass bowl is marked with ” P. Maynadier France”, hung at three ornate brass chains and a decorative bronze canopy with floral motifs. One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb. Dimensions: diameter: 40 cm / 15.7 in; height: circa 53 cm / 20.9 in Maynadier Pierre was a famous Paris-based company of Pierre Maynadier, who marketed his chandeliers under his name and commissioned most of his glassworks from Muller Freres Lunéville. In good condition with some signs of aging and wear - a small chip at the fixture hole, but not visible, because covered with the bronze fixture - flower, please see image #15. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and installed by a qualified electrician.
