French Bronze Opaline Glass Palm Tree Chandelier
About the Item
This unique French Art Deco bronze palm chandelier features a captivating and warm gilt bronze finish, with six flowing arms in a beautiful tropical arrangement. Each feather arm is decorated with beautifully shaped amber glasses. Adding to the distinctive charm, these shades are held by six palm leaf arms that gracefully slope downward and outward like a lily or a waterfall. The heavy bronze central stem that culminates in a ball-shaped finial is finely crafted and of excellent quality and detail. This palmette masterpiece is completed by matching stylized details throughout the stem, creating a harmonious visual symphony. These geometric motifs typify the period of French design, inspired by the 1925 Paris exhibition entitled the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, dedicated to the exhibition of modern decorative arts. A large Art- Deco six-armed chandelier from France manufactured in the 1920s.
The chandelier has six sockets for small incandescent lamps with screw base or E14 type LEDs. It is possible to install this fixture in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada), although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable for local electricity. It can also be used with a dimmer. The height of the body without chain is 26.7 inches (68 cm) and the current total drop is 34 inches (110 cm) .
