French White Alabaster and Bronze Pendant Light Fixture, circa 1920
About the Item
A refined Art Deco white alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture with dark brown and black veins. France, 1920s. This masterfully carved and beautifully veined one-piece alabaster bowl is suspended by three ornate bronze and brass chains and a richly decorated bronze ceiling rose.
The light shining through the white stone with dark brown and black veins is warm and atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit.
One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb.
Dimensions: height: 44 cm / 17.32 in; diameter: 34.5 cm / 13.58 in.
In good condition with some typical signs of use and aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
