About the Item

Art Deco white and black veined alabaster pendant light fixture. A wonderful alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture from circa the 1920s. Beautifully veined and masterfully carved white alabaster bowl suspended by three decorative bronze chains, impressive thistle-shaped fittings, and an ornate, thistle-shaped bronze ceiling rose. The bronze fixture is numbered and marked. The light shining through the white stone with dark brown and black veins is atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit. One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb. Dimensions: height: 53 cm / 20.86 in; diameter: 35 cm / 13.78 in. In good condition with some typical signs of use and aging of alabaster. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
