About the Item
French Art Deco period black veined white alabaster pendant light fixture.
A wonderful alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture from circa the 1920s. Beautifully veined and masterfully carved white alabaster bowl suspended by chromed brass fixture with flower decors and an ornate ceiling canopy. Impressive fasteners in the shape of flowers and leaves attach the chrome-plated brass holder to the alabaster.
The light shining through the white stone with dark brown and black veins is warm and atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit.
One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb.
Dimensions: height: 49 cm / 19.29 in; diameter: 35 cm / 13.78 in.
In good condition with some typical signs of use and aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
