Art Deco white and grey alabaster pendant light fixture with black veines, France, circa the 1920s.
An impressive and wonderfully shaped alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture from circa the 1920s. Beautifully veined and masterfully carved white and light grey alabaster bowl suspended by ropes - wires with brass fasteners and a matching alabaster ceiling canopy.
The light shining through the stone with dark brown and black veins is atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit.
One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb.
Dimensions: height: circa 52 cm / 20.47 in; diameter: 35 cm / 13.77 in.
In good condition with some typical signs of use and aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is installed by a qualified electrician.
