French Art Deco White and Black Alabaster and Brass Pendant Light, ca 1920
About the Item
Antique French Art Deco black veined white alabaster pendant light fixture.
Gorgeous alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture from circa 1920. Beautifully veined and masterfully carved soft white alabaster bowl suspended by three brass chains and an adorable matching alabaster ceiling canopy. In the center of the alabaster bowl, there is a carved flower and the rim is decorated with leaf carvings.
The light shining through the white stone with dark veins is either cool white (with a cool light LED light bulb) or warm and atmospheric (with a warm light LED bulb) and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit.
One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb.
Dimensions: height: circa 49 cm / 19.3 in; diameter: 39 cm / 15.35 in. The diameter of the canopy is 13 cm / 5.11 in.
In good condition with slight signs of use and some typical signs of aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is installed by a qualified electrician.
