About the Item
Gran Costellazione is a collection of modular chandeliers composed of lighting elements in assorted diameters and heights, arranged to form visually structured, sculptural compositions with well-balanced illumination. The collection takes cues from mid-century aesthetics, adapted for contemporary settings using refined, high-end materials.
Developed in response to the need for expansive flush-mounted lighting solutions, this system is ideal for both low ceilings and open areas where visual flow is essential—avoiding obstruction of windows, artworks, or panoramic views.
This version, inspired by the Libra constellation, features a fully circular formation with a dome-like contour. Measuring 84.5 cm (34 inches) in diameter, it incorporates 7 larger and 6 smaller modules in a cohesive radial pattern.
Designed to serve as a central visual element in a spacious environment, the chandelier reveals different aspects as one moves around it. Initially, the side profile highlights the stepped arrangement of the modules. Upon closer view, the layered onyx and the fractal structure come into full focus.
Stone lighting fixtures such as marble or alabaster are often admired for their artistry but fall short in light performance. Our Onyx and Marble designs address this limitation, offering enhanced light output while preserving sculptural appeal. The Gran Costellazione series employs advanced LEDs delivering 180 lumens per watt.
The Libra model offers a native output of 21,000 lumens powered by 130W of proprietary LEDs. Due to the optical properties of the onyx and the fixture’s design, this light level is reduced by about one-third, still ensuring a generous amount of brightness. Standard residential TRIAC dimmers can be used to adjust intensity as needed.

The brass framework can be customized in finishes such as nickel, gunmetal, or any standard brass-compatible coating. Additional options include natural patina, brushed bronze, or oiled bronze. Mixed finishes can also be used to achieve unique contrasts within the same piece.
