A Unique Pair of Late 19th Century Gilt Bronze “Japonisme” Ten Light Candelabra by Maison Marnyhac Maison Marnyhac Floral decorated vase shaped body with handles, sitting on three dolphin form feet and a marble base. The 10 candle arms centered with a shell and a bird. Stamped Marnyhac under the base. Maison Marnyhac was the commercial name for la Societe des Marbres et Bronzes Artistiques de Paris and was established under the direction of Charles de Marnyhac in Paris, at avenue de l’opera and then rue de la Paix during the mid-19th century. They specialized in the creation of luxury objects, engaging the best designers to work in their premises, winning a medal at The Exposition Universelle in 1878.
