Large Antique Vintage Holophane Ceiling Chandelier Pendant Lamp Wall Light Set
About the Item
- An outstanding and extremely rare set of fully stamped Holophane lighting including a 'Blondel Stiletto' chandelier and pair of glass wall lights, England circa 1920.
- The chandelier comprises of a two part 'Blondel Stiletto' glass bowl (both sections of glass stamped 'Patent No. 20222 1909 Holophane 6310') and four prismatic glass shades overlapping across each corner of an original decorative brass ring.
- The corresponding pair of glass wall lights each feature an ornate and decorative backplate which house the prismatic 'Stiletto' shades, galleries are both stamped 'Holophane' alongside their original patent numbers.
- An exceptional collection and statement piece for any room, the chandelier comes with its original ceiling rose and chain.
- Holophane Chandelier: Height 74cm, Width 51cm, Depth 51cm.
- Holophane Wall Lights: Height 20cm, Width 30cm, Depth 25cm.
- Rewired in braided flex and PAT tested.
- Price is for the entire collection comprising of the chandelier and pair of wall lights.
Holophane Originally founded in 1898 the hallmark of Holophane luminaires was the borosilicate glass reflector, which acted as a prism providing a combination of uplight and downlight, to illuminate any environment evenly without creating dark spots or glare. As a result Holophane lights were frequently used in churches, as street-lights and to illuminate older factories and industrial spaces.
