About the Item

Large size and great design, hand carved, antique alabaster chandelier. Thanks to its timeless design this Art Deco era alabaster chandelier will look great in all kinds of interiors. It is in good condition from top to bottom and the beautifully spread, thunderstroke-like black veins contrast even more when the light is switched on. Also, because the dark veins then turn pitch black against an even whiter background and that contrast truly is amazing to look at. The combination of the black veins, the stylish rosette at the bottom (with the blackened brass finial in the center) and the more translucent, whiter veins and patches make this creation-of-mother-nature-pendant truly fascinating and a joy to look at. Have you also noticed the stylish, original and mint condition alabaster canopy? It is adjustable in height and thanks to the hook inside, safely mounting this chandelier tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) can be done in just a few minutes. Even if we shot a hundred more photos, you still would not be able to see the true allure of this piece. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit more and this stunning, early 1900s pendant is no exception. This unique alabaster fixture is professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and thanks to the chains we (or you) can also change the drop. This timeless light will easily take a 120 watt bulb so with a dimmer you can always create the perfect atmosphere for every occasion. There is one minor discoloration to the outside (as shown in image 17) and even though this ads to the character of this one of a kind antique pendant, we have therefor priced it even more sharply. We believe this is the ideal light fixture for a master bedroom, a large entry hall, a kitchen area or a regular size dining room. Replacements made: The timeless, blackened metal chain is the perfect replacement to this antique and black and white from-top-to-bottom antique pendant light. Repaired: Some minor chips to the rem were professionally restored. Rewired: This striking alabaster light fixture is professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA. Wear consistent with age and use. There is one discoloration on the outside (see image 17).
