About the Item

Timeless design and very rare color alabaster chandelier. Thanks to its large size and its timeless design this antique alabaster chandelier too is bound to look the part in someone's living space soon. Also, because this alabaster pendant comes with the most unusual color patches that we have ever seen. Since they remind us of the stripy, orange-color clouds that we sometimes see here along the Dutch coastline at sunset, we immediately referred to this striking alabaster pendant as our 'sunset boulevard pendant'. Combined with the more translucent veins and patches this one of a kind antique pendant is unlike anything you have ever seen, because they create patterns and colors that only Mother Nature is capable of creating. Especially with the light switched on it is clear to see that the artisan whom hand carved this sizeable work of beauty could not have picked a better rock of alabaster. Even if we shot a hundred more photos, you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this shade and its unique patterns. A few hairlines on the inside of this large bowl have been reinforced and therefor too this shade again rings like a gong when you strike it (that is how structurally sound it is). And besides some superficial scratches that are very hard to make out, this unique antique could not be in better condition. The replacement black metal chain and the equally perfect and height adjustable, blackened brass canopy are like the icing on the cake of this work of lighting art. This alabaster chandelier is professionally rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a 150 watt bulb. With a hook inside the height adjustable canopy, safely mounting this chandelier tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) should take no more than a few minutes either. We expect this unique light to go to one of our respected interior designer clients, but if you are a private buyer who would love to have this 'sunset pendant' in your master bedroom or hallway then we would ofcourse be happy with that as well. This pendant light certainly is great value for money. Also, because our fair price includes perfect packing (in a custom made box) and also worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days.
