About the Item
Très beau lustre en bronze ciselé et doré à huit bras mouvementés, à décor tournant de masques féminins dans le style des rares productions d'André Charles Boulle. A noter la très belle qualité de fonte et de ciselure, ce qui permet d'avoir un splendide rendu, notamment au niveau de l'expression des visages féminins. En état de fonctionnement, sans garantie. Les dimensions ne sont pas excessives, il se place aisément dans un salon. Il provient d'un bel appartement parisien. Epoque deuxième partie du XIXème siècle.
Un lustre comme celui-ci est très intéressant car il n'est pas redoré avec une dorure trop brillante, ce qui lui confère un esprit authentique.
André-Charles Bolt dit André-Charles Boulle, né le 10 novembre 1642 à Paris, mort le 29 février 1732 dans la même ville, est un ébéniste, fondeur, ciseleur, doreur, et dessinateur français des XVII? et XVIII? siècles.
