Mid-Century Seven Light Cascade Chandelier with Brass Details

About the Item

A beautiful midcentury Cascade chandelier, comprising seven metal shades with charcol-brown finish and brass cones, all hanging from a seven-way brass ceiling canopy. Nicely made with an attractive sculptural silhouette. The design is widely attributed to Hans Agne Jakobsson of Sweden, however there is no label and we can't be sure. The light has age-appropriate wear including rubs to the finish, minor chips to the paint and an aged patina to the brass; minor cracking to the brass cones visible on close inspection. See images for details and overview. Wiring and Bulbs: The wiring is original and we advise this is tested/replaced as required prior to install. Each shade has a lamp-holder taking an E14 small screw-fitting bulb; we recommend low-heat models to protect this piece for the future. Approximate dimensions: Overall drop from top of ceiling canopy to bottom of lowest shade: 120cm Overall diameter including the shades: 40cm Each shade: H 19cm x Diameter 13cm.
