About the Item
Provenance :- This beautiful ceiling lamp by Paavo Tynell was designed for the MTK (Central Union of Agricultural and Forestry Producers) seminar building in the city of Espoo at `Northern Lights Street 9`, or `Revontulentis 9, 02100 Espoo) . It was of course manufactured by Taito between 1950-1953. Paavo Tynell and Ilmari Tapiovaara designed the lightings and furniture for this building. This building had one of the most documented light interiors by Paavo Tynell from 1951-52.
This lamp is yet another perfect example of what a genious designer Paavo Tynell was. Simple yet very elegant with absolutely no unnecessary details, only the essentials.
This is now the last of 3 of this model lamps that were made for this building. We sold 2 already, so this is the last one.
The lamp is stamped. The archive pictures : credit of the Finnish Heritage Agency (Museo Virasto).
