Palatial Art Deco starburst 12 panel frosted art glass and nickel chandelier
About the Item
A very large and impressive French Art Deco chandelier showcasing twelve frosted art glass panels extending outward from a stepped central coupe, signed Leleu. The starburst shape is supported by a frame suspension of six polished nickel-plated bronze tubular rods, culminating in a complementary geometric motif on the canopy. The molded, frosted art glass central coupe boasts a concentric stepped design, surrounded by the twelve angular frosted art glass panels with geometric detailing, radiating outward intersected by arrow-like divisions. Chevron and angular patterns are intricately woven throughout, mirrored in the upper canopy's design with six intersecting sections and similar patterns, echoing the surround framing of the coupe and glass panel design. The entity of this chandelier is replete with the kind of architectural detailing typical of the beloved Art Deco movement, presenting a sleek and contained aesthetic overall.
