About the Item

Lampadario a soffitto Poliedri disegnato da Carlo Scarpa nel 1958 per vetreria Venini. Struttura in ottone nichelato , elementi in vetro soffiato trasparente nei toni del giallo, del rosa e del blu, composta da 67 poliedri, eccellenti condizioni, impianto elettrico nuovo, 9 punti luce. Su richiesta del cliente è possibile calibrare l' altezza della catena in base alle proprie necessità di montaggio. Una rara versione a tre diverse tonalità di colore. I Poliedri furono proposti per la prima volta come elementi compositivi del grande lampadario Venini, su disegno di Ignazio Gardella, Paolo Venini ed Enrico Peresutti, presentato all’Expo di Bruxelles nel 1958, posto nella sala centrale del Padiglione Italiano. Con tale modulo fu realizzato il famoso lampadario a cascata proposto all’Expo di Torino “Italia ‘61” da Venini con Carlo Scarpa. Questi elementi di vetro soffiato permettono di creare apparati d’illuminazione di forme e misure sempre diverse. Lampadari e applique di forma circolare composti dagli elementi Poliedri, realizzati in vetro soffiato/cristallo e disposti su più livelli. Carlo Scarpa si è affermato nel secondo dopoguerra grazie a importanti allestimenti, in particolare a Venezia: la mostra di Paul Klee per la XXIV Biennale, il Padiglione del libro d’arte del 1950 e il Padiglione Italia alla XXVI Biennale. Nel 1932 ha iniziato a lavorare con VENINI, diventandone il direttore artistico fino al 1946. Un lungo periodo durante il quale ha lasciato un segno indelebile nel mondo della Fornace, per il disegno di modelli passati alla storia e per la ricerca delle tecniche più raffinate. Large Nuvola ceiling lamp designed by Tobia Scarpa for Flos, 1963. Internal structure in white painted steel, sprayed with special resin cocoon, first edition in excellent conditions. Adjustable height, the cable measures 120 cm but can be lengthened or shortened according to the desired height. Original piece from the 60s, despite the fragility of the material, this Nuvola pendant lamp is in excellent vintage condition, the lamp still mounts its original cable and the black sphere at the base. The original lampshade remains intact with an incredible patina acquired over the years.The lamp has been revised by a professional, fully functional.
