Poul Henningsen PH Artichoke Pendant Lamp, for Louis Poulsen, 1958

About the Item

Original PH Artichoke pendant lamp of the circa 1959. Not a reproduction!! The PH Artichoke lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 for a Copenhagen restaurant named the Langelinie Pavilion, where these lamps are still in use. The lamp is made up of 72 leaves divided into 12 rows. Thanks to its particular design, the light source of the lamp is not visible. Original copper color and as original piece some leaves are slightly faded it can be seen that some leaves are oxidized and have a dark color tending to black, this gives even more charm to the lamp because it highlights its history and authenticity
