Rare and Dramatic 1880s Luminator Fairground Lamp

Originally these carbon arch lamps were designed for use in theatres and fairground show fronts. We have restored and rewired the lamp to now take 3 standard bulbs. This is the first example we have ever found. The original wire cage safety glass is very special. The teardrop shape is unique with a subtle amethyst Hugh from age. The 40 inch tall lamp gives an elongated and dramatic look. The filigree banding on the shade was originally to keep the lamp Kool. It now an extra decorative detail that glows. You will never see another example.
