About the Item
A rare and elegant original French Art Deco nickeled bronze and art glass five arm chandelier attributed to Henri Petitot, featuring finely chased acanthus leaf arms ending with scroll detail and fluted bobeches supporting frosted and polished waterfall motif art glass cups. The entire fixture expertly cast in heavy bronze is suspended by a chain and canopy, and presents a central cascading stem of curved geometric designed art glass panels pouring like a waterfall onto a conical trumpet shaped bottom which ends with a heavy decorative cap and ball finial.
The height can be lengthened or shortened with chain according to your needs.

Henri Petitot took over his father Antonin Petitot's shop in 1917 and sold lamps all-over France, Europe and the United States. Later in Henri's career, he worked together with Hettier Vincent and became the largest producer of French Art Deco lighting. Petitot produced precious fixtures in high quality heavy bronze with shades from the best French glass manufacturers such as Sabino, Muller Freres, Degue and Schneider.
