About the Item
- A fabulous run of original church opaline glass pendant lights with patinated brass galleries, circa 1930.
- Wear commensurate with age, all in a good condition, the steel galleries are aged worn.
- Rewired with braided flex and PAT tested.
- Price is per light, quantity available.
Opaline Glass Opaline is a form of decorative glassware which was made throughout the 19th century, manufacture was predominantly French, although it was inspired by Venetian Milk Glass, and White Glass produced in Bristol. The popularity of Opaline glass began during the reign of Napoleon and various locations across in England were involved in their production. The opaline glass is characterised by a bright white colour, the high lead content defined it as crystal like, giving it jewel-like qualities across its appearance.
