Russian 19th Century Neoclassical Ormolu and Crystal Six-Light Chandelier

About the Item

A stunning Russian 19th century Neo-Classical ormolu and crystal six light chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a beautiful bottom circular tier with a richly chased pierced, scrolled and foliate band. The ormolu back plate is adorned in prism shaped cut crystals. Six elegantly S scrolled arms branch out from the central tier and are decorated with fine cut crystal pendants and display pierced palmette designed candle cups. The arms are attached by curved ormolu bands adorned in additional cut crystal pendants. Leading up the chandelier are fine chains and beaded crystal garlands. The exceptional top crown displays most unique and charming curved designed ormolu sprays with striking prism and tear drop shaped cut crystal pendants. All original gilt throughout. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
