18th Century Italian Louis XV Style Pricket Floor Lamp Distressed Finish
About the Item
Italian Florentine hand carved wood torchère as floor lamp, a tall solid cembran pinewood pricket carved on three sides, with a deep acanthus leaf and flowers carving, resting on tripod base, dating back to 19th century but inspired to 18th century Louis XV torcheres. This antique Italian floor-lamp has a fantastic distressed whitewash finish which almost appears beige in color, with some of the warm silver tones from the original mecca showing through.
Handcrafted in Florence, Tuscany and later electrified as torchère, with a not working Italian standard wiring.
Suitable as floor lamp base. No shade, no working wiring.
We would recommend to remove the metal upper electrical element before shipping, since not working and suitable for Italian wiring standards only.
This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a Government license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2-3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
