60's Italian Cocoon Floor Lamp in The Style of Castiglioni
About the Item
This stunning floor lamp, often referred to as a "cocoon" lamp, is a captivating piece reminiscent of the iconic designs by the Castiglioni brothers. Crafted in Italy during the 1960s, the lamp embodies the innovative use of polymer and resin materials that defined the era’s lighting design. When illuminated, it emits a soft, warm, and diffused glow, creating an inviting ambiance in any space.This specific model is unique and we have never seen it before.
The lamp features a heavy marble foot and a white lacquered steel base with gold color coated parts. It houses one E27 socket, providing ample light while maintaining a minimalist, sculptural form. The polymer and resin structure remains in good condition, preserving its original charm and functionality. Some discoloration on the shade and peeling on the gold parts due to age are noted.
