A unique sculptural floor lamp by Italian artist Davide Moretto, handcrafted with a cast iron base lacquered using gold powder and adorned with hand-forged golden leaves. The shade is composed of a rare 1950s Murano glass vessel in amethyst tones, repurposed and reimagined as a poetic diffuser of light.
The lamp’s composition merges industrial solidity and organic grace: the structured iron base anchors the form, while the glass, suspended and luminous, conveys a sense of elevation — a metaphorical distacco, or detachment.
Each decorative element is individually shaped and applied by hand, highlighting Moretto’s sculptural approach to design.
Illuminated by a 2700K LED source with CRI 98, the light produces a soft, natural radiance that enhances the amethyst reflections of the vintage glass. The result is both functional and meditative, a piece that blurs the boundary between lighting and art.
