French 1950's Three Arm Floor Lamp with Mategot Style Perforated Diabolo Shades

About the Item

Rare French 1950s three arm standing lamp by Maison Lunel with three perforated metal diabolo shades, in the manner of Mathieu Matégot. In 20 years we have not seen another floor lamp, only desk lamps, appliques and one chandelier. The light effects emitted through the perforated tomato red enameled metal shades is striking. Quality solid brass rings and rotules. Tripod iron base banded in painted rattan. Each shade has a single bayonet bulb. It appears that the shades were long ago repainted. The original color of the underlying enamel is yellow. Please note we recommend this be truck shipped by LTF not common carrier unless professionally crated.
