"Giraffe" Lamp in Stainless Steel
About the Item
The "Giraffe" Lamp, much like its nature homonymous, is meant to be the most graceful and most likely the tallest piece of one's home. Meaning to create compositional contraposition to heavier, more horizontal pieces, the "Giraffe" is light, slender and proud. The light it creates can be slightly targeted through its movable head, and in its "grassing" version could be placed over a small sitting area or a table, to define space and atmosphere.
Its material, polished stainless steel, reclaims that lightness and creates a echo to its environment. Nonetheless, there are also custom options in brushed brass and steel. The feet of this piece, are made of solid spheres of steel to create a lower gravity point and to keep the piece stable.

Jorge Suárez-Kilzi is an architect with a wide international experience in Switzerland, Spain, Korea, Sweden and Japan. Worked for Architectes Kazuyo Sejima, Ryue Nishizawa and Junya Ishigami at their Tokyo offices. After several years of freelancing as a creative support to other architecture offices, has launched this solo project centred in creating playful and timeless designs that breath elegance and sobriety. Our first produced items were three porcelain jugs and two fibreglass and steel lamps. We expect the family to grow extensively and are open to any requests and preorders on our ongoing designs.
Brushed stainless steel, brushed brass and polished brass. These variations could add cost to the piece but are easily applied since the items are made to order.
